Little Darlings is our stay-and-play group for children from birth to starting school, with their parents and carers. It runs every Wednesday in term time, from 10.00 to 11.30am, in our Infant classroom, and costs £2 a family.

There’s no need to book: just come along. Little Darlings is run by our own staff and led by Mrs Fletcher, the Higher Level Teaching Assistant in our Infant class.

What happens

Each week there are lots of play activities and equipment set out for the children, a different craft or creative activity, and then songs and games all together. Snacks and drinks are provided for children and grown-ups, so you don’t need to bring anything.

Finding us

Come to the lobby door at the front of the school, which opens straight into the Infant classroom, and sign in when you arrive. South Darley C.E. Primary School, Cross Green, Darley Bridge, Nr Matlock DE4 2JT.

Paying

£2 a family each session, in cash. The money goes on refreshments, play equipment and special treats.

A first step into school

Our Reception children learn in the Infant classroom too, so Little Darlings is a relaxed way for your child to get to know the room, the staff and other children long before they start school — and for you to see what South Darley is like and ask questions.
